Producing Solutions with AI

Here’s a thing engineers hate to hear: you are not paid to write code. You are paid to solve problems. Code is one way to do that, and often not the best one.

Now that AI writes code faster and cleaner than most of us, that old truth suddenly has teeth. The engineers who stay valuable will be the ones who think like producers — problem first, code second, and sometimes no code at all. I’ve believed this forever. AI just made it impossible to ignore.
